Sweden Dynamics Expands in Malmö with New Tactical Drone Training Centre

Sweden Dynamics is expanding into a new facility in Malmö’s Östra Hamnen, where the company is building an advanced indoor environment for tactical drone training, testing, and scale-up.

Sweden Dynamics is establishing a new base in the former tobacco factory in Östra Hamnen, Malmö, creating what Rapidus describes as Sweden’s largest training centre for tactical drone operations. The facility will provide expanded space for development, assembly, storage, and test flights.

A key part of the site is a realistic indoor training environment designed for police, rescue services, and actors within total defence. According to Rapidus, the centre will include obstacle courses and apartment-style urban environments for repeatable tactical UAS training.

The move also marks a commercial step forward, with Adam 2 and Bertil 2 reported as available for order and the company aiming to support future large-scale production through licensed manufacturing and civilian industrial partners.

For Sweden Dynamics, the new Malmö facility strengthens the ability to combine product development, operational training, and future scale-up in one integrated environment.
