Platform

SMART

Sweden Dynamics platforms are designed to combine high flight performance with practical operational capability.

Flight performance

The airframes use special-developed carbon fibre structures combined with tuned electronics stacks to achieve high agility and durability.

Typical characteristics include:

  • very high acceleration and control authority
  • stable flight close to terrain and structures
  • endurance significantly higher than typical FPV platforms
  • robust handling under demanding flight conditions

For example, platforms in the Bertil class provide approximately 45+ minutes hover endurance, while maintaining high agility and payload capability.

Acceleration characteristics allow the platform to reach 0–200 km/h within seconds, enabling rapid repositioning and pursuit tasks.

Mission capability

The systems are designed to support multiple operational tasks using the same platform.

Typical missions include:

  • rapid verification before committing personnel
  • micro-ISR in complex environments
  • route reconnaissance and chokepoint observation
  • overwatch and custody of moving objects
  • command support through live video feeds

In addition to observation, the platforms support functional tasks using payload release, enabling marking, placement and micro-delivery operations depending on mission requirements.

Operator focus

Systems are optimized for dismounted users and require minimal ground equipment.

Deployment typically involves:

  • controller
  • drone
  • batteries
  • optional mobile device for mission software

This allows rapid deployment in situations where time and mobility are critical.
